Downhill and Nordic Skiing
The Duluth area has extensive trail networks for cross country skiing. The groomed trails at Jay Cooke State Park are less than a mile from your stay and would even be in walking distance. Trails at Spirit Mountain include areas with lighting and snow making. Some networks include both classic and skate skiing. More details are available in the links to the right.
Jay Cooke State Park Cross Country Ski Trails
Ski trails are groomed only for classic skiing, there is no skate skiing at this location. The park grooms 20-30 miles depending on conditions. Skill levels range from easy to difficult. Check trail conditions here.
Spirit Mountain Downhill Skiing
